Old Grand Dad 86 Proof 1L (1971 Release)

$629.00

A vintage bottle of Old Grand-Dad Bourbon, distilled during the National Distillers era and bottled in 1971 at 86 proof, carries a rich legacy. Conceived by Raymond B. Hayden in the late 19th century, it pays homage to his grandfather, Meredith Basil Hayden Sr., renowned as the 'Father of High Rye Bourbon'. Each bottle features Basil Hayden Sr.'s unmistakable portrait. Originally produced at the Old Grand-Dad Distillery until 1987 under National Distillers, the brand was later acquired by Jim Beam, relocating production to their Beam distillery. Today, the Old Grand-Dad site stands silent, serving solely as a warehouse facility.
