Matsui 'The Kurayoshi' 25 Year Japenese Malt


Kurayoshi, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Daisen, boasts pristine water crucial for whisky production. Known as "Life is good," its climate, with a wide annual temperature range akin to Islay Island, accelerates whisky aging. The modest distillery, manned by a dedicated team, prioritizes crafting exceptional whisky. The Kurayoshi 25 Year Old Malt Whisky matures in white oak ex-bourbon barrels. Produced at the Matsui Shuzou facility in Tottori Prefecture, founded in 1910, they also specialize in sake brewing and shochu distillation, utilizing koji, the same mold used in sake production.
