Don Julio 1942 Tequila is derived from fully matured, highland-grown blue Weber agave plants that are hand-picked from an area of the Julio family estate in Atotonilco, Mexico. This agave is harvested and the pina is slow-cooked for three days before being introduced to the tequila-making process. Don Julio 1942 is aged for 2.5 years and matured in ex-bourbon casks giving it a complex flavor profile.
