This sequel to the original Toiteach is crafted using Bunnahabhain Mòine, the distillery's peated spirit, unlike its famously unpeated Islay distillery. Named Toiteach A Dha, meaning 'Smoky Two' in Scots Gaelic, it features a higher proportion of sherry casks compared to the original. It's presented without chill-filtration or artificial coloring, making it a new addition to the core range.
On the nose, it presents a peaty aroma with rich oak and hints of sherry. The palate offers warming peat and sweet Oloroso sherry notes, accompanied by rich oak and a delicate pepper balance. The finish leaves lingering peat and spice with some sherry aspects.
