The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, a family-owned Glasgow firm founded in 1992 by Brian Crook, bottles independent labels like Finlaggan and Tantallan using whisky from unnamed distilleries. This Glenesk bottling, distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon cask #3884, was released under the Cooper’s Choice label with only 300 bottles produced. Known as Glenesk (1980–1985) and Hillside before that, the distillery ceased production in 1985 and now functions solely as a maltings.
