In celebration of over a century of legacy whisky making, the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery has created this one-of-a-kind single malt selection - taking subtle cues from its 2017 limited-release Mizunara counterpart. The Yamazaki Mizunara Japanese Oak Cask 100th Anniversary 18 year old Single Malt Whisky was released in 2023 in an estimated 2,000 bottles and combines carefully aged distillate fully matured for at least 18 years in Mizunara oak casks. Differentiating it from Yamazaki's core Mizunara 18 year old portfolio release, the whisky in this special edition is sourced solely from Japanese Mizunara oak casks - something the brand hasn't done since the aforementioned 2017 iteration. Expect a nose of dark cherries, cinnamon, and nutmeg over a palate of spices, Japanese incense, cloves, and dried coconut.
