2018 William Larue Weller Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Antique Collection series is refined, amber-stained luxury in a bottle. Rare and extremely collectible, this supremely crafted whiskey was originally distilled in Winter 2006 and released in Fall 2018 and is composed of a mash bill of #1 & #2 distiller’s grade Kentucky corn, N. Dakota wheat, and N. Dakota malted barley. Aged for 12 years and 6 months in 149 hand-picked new white oak #4 char barrels with a finished barrel strength of 125.7 proof, 2018 William Larue Weller straight bourbon tempts the senses with warm apricot smothered toast, molasses, coconut, and vanilla cream. The palate is sweet cherries in fig preserves, citrus, and honey seasoned with spice.
