Founded in 1825 by brothers, Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, the Talisker distillery was initially a flop. In 1880 its fortunes changed when Roderick Kemp and Alexander Allen purchased the distillery and drove it into a success, eventually to be purchased by Diageo. Fast forward to 1998, Talisker It is now one of Diageo's most important single malt brands. The 25 Year Old is an extremely tasty Talisker that showcases the distillery's unique character to great effect.
