Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique style of whiskey. The diversity of Kyoto's temperatures, where this scotch was crafted, has created perfect conditions for cask aging, which is known as the "Suntory Maturation". Hibiki is the distillery's blended collection, offering a harmonious blend of malt and grain whiskies which are blended to create the most beautiful of flavors and aromas. The 17 Year Old, winner of a Gold at the International Spirits Challenge, is a light, sweet and fruit sip, with notes of peach, apricot, melon, black cherry, and Mizunara (Japanese Oak).
