The 2019 vintage of Shenk's Homestead Small Batch Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey is an exceptionally crafted whiskey bottled at 45.6% ABV. Using the unique process of setback blending from which sour mash is traditionally derived, this whiskey is aged in American oak barrels - with portions of the wood used harvested from a rare species of oak, the Chinquapin.  Shenk's Homestead 2019 SB Sour Mash offers a nose of sweetly roasted cream, citrus, and charred orange peelings paired with a palate of  sugar, oak, and hints of cherries in spice.
