Port Ellen 30 Year Scotch Whisky (9th Release)

A very fine bottling at natural cask-strength from Islay’s lost distillery, elegant yet full bodied with a hint of peat. Complex, rich and rounded on the nose, with soft pear fruit over a driftwood bonfire, then a sandy salinity. Firm bodied, the palate is surprisingly sweet at first, then the smoke dominates.
