High West's 2021 release of A Midwinter Night’s Dram, takes their limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye and finishes it in French oak Ruby and Tawny Port barrels. High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 9 is bottled at 49.3% ABV. Act 9 has the intoxicating aromas of blackberries, honey coated figs, chocolate-covered cherries, roasted marshmallow, licorice, and aged leather. The taste is well balanced from the notes of winter sugar plums, blackberries, spiced bitter orange zest, toffee, dates, cinnamon, brown sugar, and dried thyme. It has a nice warm lingering finish with pops of bitters, mint and light peppercorns.
