Offered as the second in a series of highly collectible premium cognacs celebrating the mastery of blending, the Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No.2 Cognac was crafted by the House of Hennessy's current master blender and cellar master Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. Following the legacy of his predecessor, retired Master Blender Yann Filoux, Gironde married a blend of premium Eau-de-vie that have been aged for a minimum of 10 years; each matured for the first 18 months in new, coarse-grained French oak barrels and then dumped and transferred for finishing in older, more experienced oak barrels.
Bottled at casks strength, or 43% ABV, the Master Blender's Selection No.2 is housed in a 1930s vintage style bottle, with each released hand numbered and signed by Fillioux de Gironde. Produced in select quantities, this sublime cognac offers a nose of white pepper, apricots, and sweet vanilla over a palate of baked cloves, nutmeg, pepper, and rich spice.
