Glenmorangie 18 Extremely Rare is superior-crafted Scotch whisky blended with the utmost care and mastery. First introduced in the 1980s, this legendary iteration was awarded its Extremely Rare status in 2007 when the range was fully developed. Crafted using aged whisky originally matured in ex-bourbon American white oak casks for 15 years, 30% of the blend is then dumped into Oloroso sherry casks for another 3 years of finishing while the majority continues to rest in the original barrels. After the full 18 years of combination-aging have passed, the two are married together and bottled at 43% ABV. Glenmorangie 18 is a fruity single malt released in limited quantities and is derived from a 100% malted barley mashbill.
