The Glenlivet XXV 25 year old Single Malt Scotch is an expertly crafted whiskey that perfectly balances nose, taste and finish. Bottled at 43% ABV and composed of 100% malted barley this breathtaking whiskey is aged for a minimum of 25 years with 23 of those spent in ex-bourbon barrels followed by at least 2 more years in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry butts.
Before being bottled and encased in a beautiful custom wooden presentation box each cask is individually selected by Glenlivet’s team of experts and closely monitored during the finishing process to make sure the Oloroso soaked wood adds the necessary subtle sherry tones to what eventually becomes an intensely flavored, yet elegant and smooth whiskey. Produced in very limited batches and offering a finish that is incredibly long, balanced and rich, along with a nose offering a sweet trail of bittersweet dark chocolate, perfectly ripe cherries, sweet sultana and wild herbs, this is a must have in any collection and nothing short of a legendary spirit.
