Originally launched as a brand of its own in 1888, Cream of Kentucky now falls under the ownership of J.W. Rutledge (legendary master distiller at Four Roses), who announced this undisclosed sourced whiskey will be a limited release of 9,000 bottles yearly, to the tune of 36,000 bottles in 2019. Aged for 11.5 years and a cask strength of 102% proof, Cream of Kentucky 11.5 year old straight bourbon carries aromas of strong fruits, medicinal cherry syrup, and thick oak soaked in cola. The palate offers hits of caramel, vanilla and fruits dipped in melted chocolate.
