Bowmore 26 year Vintner's Trilogy is the second of three releases in the series. The Vintner's Trilogy showcases the impact of lengthy wine-cask-finishes on the terrific Islay single malt. The 26 year old expression began its maturation in ex-bourbon barrels for 13 years. The next step is moving the scotch into French oak barriques which previously contained wine, for the remaining 13 years! This offering has notes on the palate and the nose smoked oak, brandied cherries and raisins.
