Crafted by Balvenie's Malt Master David Stewart in 2005, the limited release Balvenie NewWood Single Malt Scotch Whisky emerges from 79 traditional whisky oak casks aged at least 17 years. The final four months in new American white oak casks impart a gentle oakiness, layered with soft vanilla tones, distant spiciness, and characteristic Balvenie honey sweetness. The result is a complex yet not overwhelming nose, an explosive palate of flavors, and a rich, smooth finish.
