One of the most hotly anticipated (and now discontinued and incredibly rare) limited releases from the Islay distillers, this rare 2012 whiskey was made to celebrate an experiment in which small quantities of Ardbeg whiskey molecules were sent into space to see how they mature in zero gravity. Distilled in 1999 and matured in in Marsala wine casks this is a heavily peated single malt whiskey with a sweetness reminiscent of overripe sweet black plums and grapes. At 49% ABV and with an amazing nose and palate, the end product is an exceptional whiskey that is one of the best Ardbeg has ever produced and a must have for any Ardbeg aficionado.
