An incredibly complex whiskey, the 56.7% ABV Ardbeg Day is the Committee Release from the Ardbeg distillery that was distributed worldwide in 2012. With a nose that is characteristic of Ardbeg and that is thick with notes of old leather, smokie and engine oil, the taste is surprisingly sweet and flavorful giving the drinker a palate that is full of raspberry jam, chocolate, and wine. Ending with a multifaceted finish that has everything from beeswax to jam and sea salt this is one very interesting whiskey that is a must have for Ardbeg lovers.
