Wild Turkey 8 Year 101 Proof Bourbon (1985 Release)

Built in 1935 by the Ripy Brothers in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, the distillery became known as Wild Turkey in 1941 after whiskey shared on a hunting trip earned the nickname. Austin Nichols, initially sourcing whiskey from the Ripy family, purchased the distillery in 1972—bringing on master distiller Jimmy Russell, who joined in 1954 and became a brand icon. A new facility replaced the original in 2011. This is the classic 8-year-old Wild Turkey, bottled at 101 proof in 1985.
