Crafted in honor of the adventurous spirit of famous Portuguese explorer Magellan, WhistlePig The Boss Hog VII: Magellan's Atlantic is a 17 year old single barrel straight rye whiskey finished in two consecutive rounds after initial maturation in virgin charred American oak. The first consists of rare oak staves sourced from northern Spain carrying hues of warm cinnamon and allspice. The second is South American teakwood which adds layers of sweet caramel and more spice. This coveted whiskey is bottled at barrel strength or 52.6% ABV and is composed of a mash bill containing a minimum of 51% rye. This rye whiskey was released in limited quantities and offers a boundless sense of discovery from the first pour to the last sip.
