Syndicate 58/6 12 Year Old Blended Scotch

Syndicate 58/6 is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky based on a historic recipe dating to the 19th century. In 1958, 10 casks containing a blend of malt and grain whiskies distilled in 1954 were discovered in a warehouse owned by William Muir Bond 9 Limited. In 1966, when the whisky reached 12 years of age, a quantity was bottled for the company’s directors and their associates. The name Syndicate 58/6 refers to the six accountants and lawyers involved in the project. The blend comprises 18 single malts and four single grains, matured through a Solera system and finished for one year in selected Oloroso sherry butts. Each bottle bears the signature of master blender Richard Paterson.
