Benrinnes 18 Year Old 1997 is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1997, matured in a single refill hogshead (cask #12124), and bottled in 2015 by Edition Spirits for its First Editions series. Founded in 1826 by Peter Mackenzie, Benrinnes Distillery historically used a partial triple-distillation process from 1956 until transitioning to double distillation around 2010. The distillery is also known for its traditional worm-tub condensers, while only a small proportion of its production is released as single malt.
