The Chita Single Grain is produced at Chita Distillery, which specializes in grain whisky. It combines three types of grain distillate aged in bourbon, sherry and wine casks. Maturation in Spanish oak, American white oak and wine casks contributes to its layered character and smooth, refined profile.

Suntory was founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii and became a pioneer of Japanese whisky. The company established Yamazaki in 1923, Japan’s first malt whisky distillery, followed by Chita in 1972 and Hakushu in 1973. Today, Suntory is part of Suntory Holdings, which acquired Beam in 2014.
