Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project #3 (375ML)

This bourbon project is considered the most extensive oak experiment ever conducted. Beginning with 96 American oak trees selected for differences in growth rings and origin, each tree was divided into top and bottom sections to produce 192 unique barrels. Variables such as stave seasoning, char level, entry proof, warehouse style, and whiskey recipe were systematically adjusted. The result was 192 distinct barrels, creating 1,396 possible taste variations, with no two bottles in the full set exactly alike.
