Royal Salute, a classic whisky since 1953, was created for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. It embodies British royal tradition with a balanced flavor of sweet pears, citrus, vanilla, dry oak, sherry, and a hint of smoke. The palate includes warmth with orange marmalade, fresh pears, spices, and hazelnut, followed by a lingering trace of smoke. Named after the 21 Gun Salute, it celebrates extraordinary moments with whiskies aged a minimum of 21 years. Crafted by John and James Chivas, pioneers in whisky blending, it follows their principles of using old stocks and a distinct Speyside accent, blending whiskies aged at least 12 years.
