Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 'SBHP' Scottish Barley Heavily Peated Single Malt Scotch

$69.00

Peated to 40 phenol ppm, this whisky is expertly crafted by a master distiller with over five decades of experience. It's made from 100% Scottish Barley and matures in the lochside village of Port Charlotte before bottling at the Bruichladdich distillery using Islay spring water. This barley is the first heavily-peated single malt distilled using Islay-grown barley. Maturing in American Oak casks by Loch Indaal shores, the whisky absorbs Atlantic air, infusing it with maritime flavors.

Port Charlotte offers aromas of bluebells, papaya, peat-dried barley, and a smoky sea breeze. The palate delivers notes of dried peat and caramelized wood sugars, finishing with a lemon-pepper zest. Bruichladdich Distillery, located on the Rhinns of the Isle of Islay, produces mainly single malt Scotch whisky, alongside artisanal gin. Owned by Rémy Cointreau, it's one of eight working distilleries on the island.
