Old Forester Birthday Bourbon (2012 Release)

For the 2012 yearly release of this limited bourbon the mash bill featured a 2% increased in the malt ratio comparing to the past releases. Aged on the 4th floor of Warehouse H, the barrel matured in a balanced environment, with the elevated position enhancing the Angel’s Share and intensifying the flavor concentration. The flavors in this release are nothing you can’t find in many other bourbons; vanilla, caramel and brown sugar. What makes this year’s edition special is the intensity of those flavors and the fantastic balance of them. Plus, the mix of the right amount of oak, spice and dryness, make the 2012 edition the full package. A true classic!
