Old Crow 10 Year 'Chessmen: Dark Bishop' Bourbon Ceramic Decanter

From the 1960s through the 1980s, many distilleries faced declining bottled whiskey sales and began releasing collectible decanter bottlings to stimulate consumer interest. Old Crow, produced by National Distillers, issued a full chess-themed decanter series featuring all pieces in the set. Consumers could also send in proof of purchase by mail to receive a carpeted chessboard. The decanters were filled with 86-proof, 10-year-old whiskey, and these releases remain highly regarded among vintage whiskey collectors and enthusiasts.
