"A massive wine that has all the components but needs time to show its best. Mallard owns a 0.65 hectare parcel in Les Renardes that stretches the length of the vineyard from Le Corton down to Les Bressandes. In the scorching 2018 vintage, the site produced the richest wine in the portfolio with a lush fruit scented with cassis and spice from the 18-month maturation in cask (70% new). The texture is almost viscous, the tannins are abundant and firmly textured but not astringent, and the finish is impressively long." - 95/100 Decanter
