The whisky aged for 30 years, initially in a mix of 60% sherry and 40% ex-bourbon casks, before being married and further matured in ex-bourbon casks. The nose reveals layers of dried dates, caramel, smoke, mushrooms, black pepper, broiled meat, and a touch of citrus, with earthy undertones and a hint of sour grapes. The palate offers sweet and sour fruits like juicy grapes, peaches, and strawberries, with a light grassiness and pear peel. The finish is smoky with pleasant spices and dried fruits, leaving a lingering note of dried cranberries. Despite its complexity, the whisky has a softer, more subdued profile, with a subtle intensity.
