Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown was reopened in 2004 after nearly 80 years of closure. Approximately 20% of its production is heavily peated. This peated style is featured in the Peat in Progress series, which began in spring 2019. Kilkerran Heavily Peated Peat In Progress Batch 1 is the first release in the series. It was matured in a mix of 55% ex-bourbon and 45% ex-sherry casks.
