Kaiyo 'The Unicorn' 10 Year

Kaiyo The Unicorn is a Japanese malt whisky produced from Coffey still-distilled malt whisky and teaspooned with malt from another undisclosed Japanese distillery. Like all Kaiyo releases, it is matured in Japanese Mizunara oak, a rare and highly prized oak species known for its slow growth and distinctive character.

The whisky is aged for five years in Mizunara casks and then matured for an additional five years in wet, unrinsed bourbon barrels that previously held a highly allocated, undisclosed "unicorn" whiskey.
