Isle of Jura Distillery 'Superstition' Lightly Peated Single Malt Scotch

Jura Superstition is a peated Island single malt Scotch whisky from Jura Distillery on the Isle of Jura in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. The expression combines heavily peated and unpeated malt whiskies, with the peated component comprising 13% of the blend at approximately 40 phenol parts per million. The whiskies are matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, with component whiskies aged between 13 and 21 years. The casks contribute vanilla sweetness that complements the whisky’s peat smoke. Jura’s tall copper pot stills provide extended copper contact during distillation, contributing to the distillery’s lighter spirit style. Superstition has received Gold medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Beverage Testing Institute.
