Highland Park 'Wings of the Eagle' 16 Year Single Malt Scotch

Highland Park introduced Wings of the Eagle as one of their three original Travel Retail releases in 2018. This 16-year-old single malt is drawn from sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks. Although the distillers didn't specify the type of eagle it was named after, let's imagine it as our favorite (the long-crested eagle).

This whisky offers a nose of shortbread, waxy orange peels, pine resin, and a subtle hint of hickory smoke. On the palate, the smoke is gentle, allowing vanilla and mixed nuts to shine. The finish features almond butter, a touch of tobacco, and crunchy brown sugar.
