A Midwinter Night’s Dram is High West’s annual seasonal release, based on its Rendezvous Rye—a blend of straight rye whiskeys with mash bills of 95% rye/5% malted barley (MGP) and 80% rye/20% malted rye (High West). The blend is finished in French oak port casks, adding depth and richness. Earlier releases used sourced rye, but since 2018 the whiskey includes High West’s own distillate. Each batch is labeled as an “Act” (e.g., Act 8 for 2020) with “Scene” denoting the bottling date.
