Glenfarclas, one of Scotland’s few family-owned distilleries, is known for its richly sherried single malts and strong global presence since the mid-20th century. While many distilleries focused on blends, Glenfarclas pioneered single malt exports to the U.S., South Africa, Australia, and later Italy. Its commitment to authenticity and variety produced numerous limited editions and private bottlings. This particular release, a Glenfarclas 1969 bottled in 1996 for The Spirit of Independence series, was limited to 1,200 bottles.
