Eagle Rare 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery in the winter of 1984 and bottled in the fall of 2002, is a “rye recipe” bourbon aged 17 years in new #4 charred white oak barrels from Independent Stave. Entered at 125 proof and bottled at 90 proof, it matured in Warehouse Q, losing 58% to evaporation. Double-distilled using a beer still and doubler, this release exemplifies a well-aged Kentucky bourbon noted for its depth, balance, and refinement.
