Cadenhead's Authentic Collection 'Glencraig' 19 Year Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch (1981 Release)

$569.00

Glencraig was a unique single malt whisky produced at the Glenburgie-Glenlivet Distillery between 1958 and 1981. Unlike the distillery's traditional output, Glencraig was made using Lomond stills—experimental stills with short, cylindrical necks that created a markedly different spirit compared to the classic swan-neck pot stills. The resulting whisky was notably richer and heavier, despite being made from the same mash, and was given a separate identity to reflect its distinctive character.

This particular bottling was distilled in 1981, the final year of Glencraig’s production, and matured for 19 years in sherrywood casks. It was bottled in February 2001 by Cadenhead’s as part of their Authentic Collection. With only 276 bottles released.
