Blue Run Emerald is a limited-release Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey produced from a selection of 189 barrels. Created as the successor to Blue Run Golden Rye, the whiskey was blended by Blue Run Whiskey Director Shaylyn Gammon to emphasize classic rye characteristics, including herbal, peppery and spice-driven notes.

The blend incorporates whiskey from three different rye mash bills and includes barrels matured at separate aging locations in Bardstown and Frankfort, Kentucky. The differing maturation environments and mash bill compositions contribute additional complexity and balance to the final whiskey.
