Crafted by a 12th generation master distiller, Amador Ten Barrels Straight Hop-Flavored Whiskey matures in French oak wine barrels and chardonnay casks. It blends 60% straight malt whiskey with 40% hop-flavored whiskey made from Bear Republic Brewery's Racer 5 IPA, adding a malty hoppiness without overpowering the whiskey's character. Amador Whiskey Co. Double Barrel Bourbon starts its journey in Kentucky, where nearly 300 barrels of 3- to 10-year bourbons aging in charred American oak are purchased. These barrels then travel to St. Helena, California, where Amador Whiskey Co., owned by Trinchero Family Estates, transfers the bourbon into the family's Napa Valley wine barrels for an additional 6-month finishing period.
