Sam Adams 'Utopia' (2019 Release)

The 2019 release of Samuel Adams Utopias is a 28% ABV barrel-aged beer that challenges the boundaries between beer and fine spirits. This edition was aged in a variety of barrels, including those previously used for Cognac and Madeira, introducing distinct vanilla notes and subtle, nutty, dark fruit aromas. A touch of Kosmic Mother Funk, a wild ale aged for two years in Hungarian oak foeders, was added to enhance its depth. The result is a complex flavor profile featuring plum, raisins, prunes, and toasted oak.
