Maker's Mark 'Rick Pitino' Bourbon - 2013 Release

A limited-edition series of Maker's Mark bourbon bottles was released featuring Rick Pitino in support of a University of Louisville academic initiative. Pitino, head coach of the Cardinals men’s basketball team and leader of the program’s 2013 national championship, was also selected for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The release included 12,600 bottles and marked the second of three commemorative editions produced by the distillery to benefit the university’s Academic Center of Excellence, a facility dedicated to student-athlete academic support. The first edition featured football coach Charlie Strong and sold over 8,400 bottles.
