2006 Jordan Winery Cabernet Sauvignon (Slightly Scuffed Label)

"Using 70% estate fruit and 30% purchased grapes, this wine was aged 12 months in two-thirds French and one-third American oak. Opened for about 45 minutes at the winery prior to tasting, it showed lifted aromas of redcurrants and rich potting soil. On the palate the sweet red berry fruit is still hanging on, laced with tobacco and rich forest floor notes. The tannins are nicely resolved and the savoury finish offers a mix of cured meats, black pepper and tobacco leaf. This wine has aged gracefully." Decanter
