Buffalo Trace Distillery Experimental Collection 'The Inaugural Release: French Oak Barrel' Bourbon (375ML)

$1,649.00

Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Experimental Collection French Oak Barrel (1 of 3) is a single-barrel bourbon distilled on April 6, 1995, from Rye Mash #1 using the sour mash process. The whiskey was aged 10 years in a French oak barrel made by Independent Stave with staves air-dried for 24 months and treated with a #3 char, stored in Warehouse K, floor 8 (rick/row/slot V2/2). Distilled at 140 proof and entered into the barrel at 125 proof, it experienced 39% evaporation during aging. The bourbon was chill filtered and bottled on February 24, 2000, at 90 proof. The French oak aging contributed sugary sweetness and a dark caramel color.
