Old Forester Birthday Bourbon (2004 Release)

Master Distiller Chris Morris gave the warehouse crew the unique opportunity to select the vintage from his list of candidates, making this the only release where the union created the Birthday Bourbon lot. The chosen barrels were aged for just 8 years. This spicy, complex bourbon was stored in Warehouse L during a cycling period, where the warm and humid conditions caused the charred white oak barrels’ pores to open. This allowed the bourbon to deeply absorb a perfect balance of wood, sweetness, and spice.z
