This release features heavily peated malt from Springbank Distillery and has been matured in a combination of wine casks. It is a 13-year-old single malt initially matured for 10 years in a mix of bourbon and sherry oak casks, followed by a 3-year finishing period in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The Cabernet Sauvignon casks were sourced from MontGras’ Intriga Estate in Alto Maipo, Chile, at the foothills of the Andes. It is bottled at cask strength, 51.6% ABV and 1 of 9,000 bottles.
