2003 Emmanuel Rouget Cros Parantoux

$1,979.99

Domaine Emmanuel Rouget, founded in 1985 in Flagey‐Echezeaux, quickly rose to global acclaim despite its relatively young age. Its vineyards span Vosne‐Romanée, Echezeaux, and other top Burgundy sites. The domaine’s roots trace back to Henri Jayer, Emmanuel Rouget’s uncle and Burgundy legend, who mentored Emmanuel and gradually passed on his prized vineyards—most notably Cros Parantoux. Jayer revived the then-abandoned site just above the Grand Cru of Richebourg in the 1950s, having to blast the plot with over 400 charges of dynamite to soften the soil enough that it could be planted. Today, Rouget holds 0.72 hectares of this iconic vineyard, with the rest owned by Méo‐Camuzet. Since 2011, Emmanuel’s sons, Nicolas and Guillaume, have taken the reins.
