2002 Conte di Bregonzo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG (3L)

$169.99

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG received DOCG status in 2009. It is produced in Veneto using primarily Corvina (45–95%) with Rondinella and other local grapes. Unlike standard Valpolicella, Amarone is made from dried grapes, resulting in a richer texture and higher alcohol, typically 14–20%. While Amarone is dry, Recioto della Valpolicella is the sweet DOCG counterpart. “Ripasso” refers to a separate style made by re-fermenting Valpolicella on Amarone lees, not a sweet version.
